Hens within city limits are a fun and safe family hobby, as proven by so many modern urban cities. Our family has enjoyed our hens, showing them at the local and State Fairs for over three years and benefiting from the health and educational aspects. Sanford City Council made us get rid of our hens because of a “no chickens” ordinance….yet they allow guineas and pheasants. We are upset at the inconsistency and lack of Councils leadership. Council has not listened to its constituents.

We have a 4-3 Vote..... need one more vote in one week to pass ordinance.
